Explore these terms and conditions to help you plan you trip to Māwhera Pā this winter.

1. Promoter

The promoter is Pounamu Pathway Māwhera Pā, located at 43 Tainui Street, Greymouth, New Zealand (“Pounamu Pathway”).

2. Promotion Overview

The Winter Walk-In Special (“Promotion”) provides discounted admission pricing for eligible walk-in visitors during the Promotional Period.

This Promotion applies only to the ticket types and conditions outlined in these Terms & Conditions.

3. Promotional Period

The Promotion is valid only from 1st June 2026 to 31st August 2026  (“Promotional Period”). Pounamu Pathway reserves the right to:

  • Extend, shorten, suspend, or terminate the Promotion at any time without prior notice
  • Withdraw promotional pricing due to operational, safety, or capacity requirements  

4. Eligibility & Redemption

This Promotion is strictly subject to the following eligibility conditions:

  • Tickets must be purchased in person at the Pounamu Pathway Māwhera Pā ticket counter
  • Tickets must be used on the same day of purchase
  • This Promotion is not available for online bookings
  • This Promotion is not available for pre-booked tickets or third-party sales or agents
  • One promotional ticket per person per day applies where applicable

Proof of eligibility at time of purchase may be required.

5. Promotional Pricing

During the Promotional Period, eligible visitors may purchase admission at the following rates:

  • Adults (16+ years): $20.00 (Standard $39.00)
  • Children (5–15 years): $5.00 (Standard $15.00)
  • Infants (0–4 years): Free (must be accompanied by a paying adult)

All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST.

6. Family Rate Exclusion

The standard family pass or family pricing structure is excluded from this Promotion and cannot be applied or substituted in any form.

7. No Stacking of Offers (Important Condition)

This Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount, promotion, coupon, concession, or benefit. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Loyalty programme rewards or discounts
  • Resident pricing or local concessions
  • Super Gold Card or similar concession cards
  • Any other promotional offer or special pricing
  • Family passes or bundled pricing (explicitly excluded above)

Only one offer may be applied per transaction (“no stacking rule”) unless expressly stated otherwise by Pounamu Pathway in writing.

8. Ticket Conditions

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Tickets are valid for a single continuous visit only
  • No pass-outs or re-entry are permitted
  • Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash or credit
  • Lost , stolen, or unused tickets will not be replaced or refunded 

9. Experience Conditions

All visitors must comply with site rules and staff instructions at all times.
The Promoter reserves the right to:

  • Refuse entry where capacity limits are reached
  • Refuse entry or remove any visitor for health, safety, or operational reasons
  • Restrict access to ensure safe operation of the experience

10. Health & Safety Requirements

Visitors must:

  • Follow all stff instructions and safety signage
  • Supervise children or dependants at all times
  • Move carefully through the experience and remain aware of surroundings 

Entry to the experience is conditional upon compliance with all safety requirements.

11. Capacity & Operational Control

All admissions are subject to:

  • Daily capacity limits
  • Operational requirements
  • Health and Safety considerations

Pounamu Pathway may restrict or suspend admission without notice where necessary. 

12. Pricing Transparency

Where promotional pricing is displayed, Pounamu Pathway will ensure:

  • Staandard and promotional prices are clearly shown together
  • Discount reflect genuine savings from standard retail pricing at the time of promotion

13. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Pounamu Pathway accepts no liability for:

  • Personal injury arising from failure to follow instructions or safety signage
  • Loss or damage to personal propetry
  • Any indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in the experience or promotion 

Nothing in these Terms limits rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable legislation.

14. Amendments

Pounamu Pathway reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any updated terms will apply from the time of publication.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
